About the Instructors

Artventure Studio's instructors come from a wide variety of personal, creative, and educational backgrounds.  Many instructors and guest artists are former Artventure students who have earned degrees in the fine and performing arts including dance, theater, art therapy, graphic design, fibers, sequential art, illustration, ceramics, and more.  Freelance artists and independent business owners throughout the Medina area and beyond have also lent their talents, insights, and skills to further the artistic education of the students and the studio's founder.

Artventure Studio also stands behind the philosophy that everyone at every age has something to offer and teach.  Our Young Teachers program enables any currently enrolled Artventure student (grades 1-12) to teach a lesson of their choice in any media including drawing, painting, ceramics, collage, and sculpture.  With guidance from an adult instructor prior to their lesson, these students walk in the steps of a professional teacher to introduce, explain, and carry out their assignment to their class.  This incredibly successful program has been enthusiastically met by each young instructor and has helped them to develop and build creative, social, and public speaking skills.

Whether a child or adult, all instructors at Artventure adhere to the standard that art should be taught in a fun and encouraging atmosphere.  Individual expression is highly emphasized, and each lesson is customized to the needs and pace of every student.  It is our pleasure to provide an environment where imagination works and plays, and all students are encouraged to be themselves while speaking with their own creative voice.
