About the Founder

Amy Trosino received a B.F.A. from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan and a M.F.A. in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Georgia.  She is the owner of Artventure Studio and Gallery, Inc, in Medina, Ohio where she teaches a variety of adult and children’s classes including drawing, painting, illustration, ceramics, bookmaking, collage, creative writing, wheelthrowing, portfolio, and gallery design. Trosino also teaches children's book illustration at the University of Akron and has worked with various organizations across northeast Ohio including The Medina County Achievement Center, Family First Council, Windfall School's Very Special Arts program for children with special needs, the Brecksville Center for the Arts, and the Strongsville, Brunswick, and Medina public school systems. Her work has appeared in House Calls, Drink, and Charleston magazines, The Crescent Review Literary Journal, and the Annual Children’s Book Fair in Bologna, Italy.  In her spare time, Trosino enjoys self publishing and exhibiting her work in gallery shows across the U.S.  To see her work, go to www.amybtrosino.squarespace.com.
