Many parents, children, and students have very busy schedules, so Artventure is happy to offer its Select-Your-Own-Workshop series. You tell us what days and times you have available, and we'll schedule it! Many slots are available Mon-Sat throughout the week. Journey Through the Arts for Adults
For Teens and Adults, 1 hour -1.5 hours, cost: $25-$55 depending on chosen project
Students will have the option of choosing a drawing, painting, clay or sculpture project. Project details will be discussed upon registering.
Mystery Build: An All New Clay Experience for Kids and Adults
For all ages, 1.5 hours, cost: $55
In this exciting new workshop, students will create a variety of clay "parts." They will then be given three options in which to use the parts to build their project. Basic clay techniques will also be taught.
Beginner's Acrylics for Adults
For Teens and Adults, 1 hour-1.5 hours, cost: $35-$55
For anyone who is interested in learning the basics of acylic painting. No experience is necssary!
Beginning Drawing for Kids and Adults
For all ages, 1-1.5 hours depending on age, cost: $30-$55 depending on age and length of class
Have you always wanted to learn to sketch well but were a little hesitant to try? Then take this workshop custom made for your creative needs. Here, you will experiment with various drawing mediums including graphite pencils, watercolor pencils, colored pencils, oil pastels and more.
Characters in Clay for All Ages
For all ages, 1-1.5 hours depending on age, cost: $35-$65 depending on age and chosen project
Students will have the option of choosing from three projects-a puzzle lid box, mini clay mosaic, or animal figure. An ideal family workshop or bring a friend! Please specify your preferred project upon registering.
Pet Portraits in Clay
For all ages, 1-1.5 hours depending on age, cost: $30-$55 depending on age
Do you have a special pet in your life? Then come by the studio and create a clay portrait or figure of them. These make wonderful keepsakes for years to come! If possible, please bring a photo of your pet to class.
Creative Clay Containers for All Ages
For all ages, 1-1.5 hours depending on age, cost: $35-$65 depending on age and chosen project
Choose between a wish or daily blessings jar, puzzle lid box, or basic slab container. All are unique, functional, fun and easy to create!
Intro to Glass Mosaics
For grades 1-adult, 1-2 hours depending on age, cost: $30-$65 depending on age and chosen project
Choose between a mini mosaic box, mosaic clayscape, or mirror. Learn the basics of cutting glass to create simple and beautiful designs!
Cartooning and Comics for Kids and Adults
For grades 1-adult, 1 hour 15 min, cost: $35-$55 depending on age
So much fun for the aspiring cartoonist, comic artist or animator! A very popular workshop, students will experience the steps of a professional cartoonist or animator to create a character and comic of their own design. Storyboarding, character development, and history making comic creators will be discussed prior to the art project. Need a family activity this summer? This class is perfect!
Intro to Bookmaking
For grades 1-Adult, 1-2 hours depending on age, cost: $35-$75 depending on age and complexity of project
Learn how to make a beautiful accordian fold book or matchbox book complete with decorative pages and envelopes.
Helter Skelter Sculpture Art
For grades 1-8, 1 hour 15 min, cost: $45
Let's put your imagination to work! Students will be given a variety of collage pieces and spare art parts to create a one-of-a-kind mini sculpture. Several themes will be presented such as Robots, Imaginary Creatures, Dr. Suess Houses, Animals, etc that students can use as inspiration for their design.
